 Supporting Programs for Defeat of Hard and Deeply Buried Targets
DGI has been the premiere contractor supporting Department of Defense management of efforts to develop technologies allowing defeat of potential hard and deeply buried targets (HDBTs). HDBTs are used worldwide (and especially in rogue nations) to protect Weapons of Mass Destruction, weapon delivery systems, command control facilities and other critical national resources. DGI provides support to DoD in drafting Reports to Congress, in program and defense guidance reviews, and in carrying out technical analysis of program options. DGI also provides key technical support to the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) in its development of technologies for defeat of HDBTs. This work includes assisting DTRA in updating the DoD HDBT Science and Technology Master Plan. DGI interacts with the Unified Commands, the Military Services, defense agencies and other specialized contractors in carrying out this crucial effort. |
